I’m the maintainer of the Italian localization (l10n) of SLRN, the Usenet news reader.
I also write and maintain some macros for SLRN.
GnuPG + SLRN
This macro permits to sign articles with GNU Privacy Guard (GnuPG), or Pretty Good Privacy (PGP). It also consents to verify signed articles and to import new keys into your keyring.
Identity
This macro allows the user to assign variable values, concerning his/hers identity, on a per-newsgroup basis: that is, to change some of the displayed informations depending on which newsgroup he/she is posting on a determined moment.
Threads
This macro is a collection of thread-related operations. Right now, it implements:
- Expansion of threads above a certain score
- If a thread contains an article with a score above a user-defined value, this macro will reconstruct the to which it belongs.
Headers
This macro allows the creation of custom command-generated headers (for both new articles and followups), that is headers which payload is generated using the output of an external command.
